THE BEST PLACES TO PRINT YOUR PHOTOS

If you've paid to have professional photos taken, chances are you also want to display those photos somehow for others to see!

Client ask me from time to time where they should have their photos printed. There are obviously a lot of great companies out there, but here are some I recommend.

(I don't make any money from these links, but these are all companies that I've used and had great results with).

How to Print Photos

No matter what company you use to print your photos with, first make sure that you downloaded the photos correctly from your photographer and are using the highest resolution available!

If you take a screenshot of a photo from a gallery like ShootProof or Dropbox, your pictures will be blurry and not print well. Also, if you try to print a photo from Facebook it will also appear pixelated or blurry because Facebook lowers image quality.

Many photo printing websites will give you an alert if your uploaded image is low resolution. If that happens, don't ignore the alert! Make sure you're using high resolution images, and contact your photographer if you have questions.

Where to Print Photos

There are a variety of types of prints available, so what company you choose really depends on what kind of product you want. Here are a variety to choose from that I've used.

Many of these options offer an overlap of products, so I'll recommend the product I've purchased from them.

Wall Prints

Beautiful canvas prints with rustic frames. They can be pricey, but often run deals (especially during the holidays).

Edge to edge canvases (without a frame). Usually running great deals.

Somewhat limited sizing options (although they are expanding their inventory), but offers a unique option for sticking pictures directly to walls so you don't have to worry about hanging hardware. You can use these to create some really nice photo collages on your wall.

Photo Prints or Books

Great option for customized photo books using a large variety of templates.

High quality photo printing in a variety of sizes as well as unique options like buttons, mouse pads, and magnets. The ordering process can be a little bit tricky if you use their ROES plugin, but the quality is great.

If you're looking for very low cost printing, Walgreens has same day printing options in a variety of photo sizes (like wallets, 4x6, 8x10, etc). While the quality won't be as high as some of the other companies listed here, it is still acceptable and may be worth it for you considering the low cost and fast turnaround they offer. Walmart and CVS also have similar products.
